| I've been crocheting for 25 years - since the age of 7. For the first 20+ years, I couldn't even read a pattern! Finally, a couple of years ago, something in my brain "clicked" and I found myself finally able to read a pattern. This opened up a whole new world to me... and yet I find that even though I CAN read a pattern, I still prefer to go my own way. I think of patterns more as "guidelines" than "official rules." I believe that the creative process is one of the most important aspects of crochet. I'm currently a SAHM, married to Blake since '99 and the mother of 4 gorgeous (if sometimes crazy-making) girls. In between school runs, coffee mornings, and cleaning the house, I crochet because I have to. It's such an integral part of me, I honestly cannot imagine my life without it. |
