Drops Baby Merino is a light, soft yarn especially well suited for baby items or for those with sensitive skin. The yarn is a delight to work with although if you have a hook with a pointed tip, you may find that the yarn splits a little, nothing major though.<\/p>\n

My stitches came out well defined and even with the resulting swatch having a nice heft without being too bulky. The yarn has a slight stretch to it which helps keep up with the frequent movements of babies.<\/p>\n

Because the yarn is super-wash, it stands up well to being washed in the washing machine so busy parents don’t have to worry about hand washing or possibly ruining the item in the machine.<\/p>\n

Baby Merino is available in 21 colors, mostly pastel, but also with a some darker colors availalbe (which I like since I don’t always like to use pastels with baby items). Keep an eye out in a future issue for a pattern featuring this yarn.<\/p>\n
