Drops Alpaca Classic is a soft yarn that felts well so clothing items should be hand-washed if you don’t want them felted.<\/p>\n

The yarn is slightly heavier and stronger than the Drops Alpaca (according to their website as I’ve not had the opportunity to try the Alpaca) and has small wisps of alpaca that provide a soft, fuzzy feel to the finished product. Perfect for quietly elegant clothing but working just as well as for daily wear of hats and scarves.<\/p>\n

My stitches came out nicely, not as well defined as the Drops Baby Merino or Merino Extra Fine, but still very nice. I used a G6 hook so my fabric came out slightly stiff but an H8 hook should take care of this and give it a nice drape.<\/p>\n
