When I’m able to, I try to create a pattern for yarns I’m sent for review. While I’m not always able to, when you have yarns as wonderful as those from Windy Valley Muskox, they just beg to be made into something warm and beautiful.This\u00a0scarf is made using the Qiviut Luxury Blend Yarn from Windy Valley Muskox. It’s soft, yet extremely warm so I wanted a simple design that wouldn’t be too hot when worn but would still keep the wearer cozy. The width of this scarf makes it useful as a head scarf and is easily adjusted to make it thinner, or wider, if needed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Sl st at beg of row<\/span><\/td>\nWhenever possible, I prefer to sl st into the first st of the previous row before I make the chs for the beg st, such as for a beg dc. To me, it produces a flatter edge rather than the slightly bowed look that just the beg dc makes. If you don’t like using the sl st at the beg of a row, just skip it and make the ch-3 beg dc instead.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
