Return Home to Alabama

In May of 2012, I was offered a full-time position back in my home town of Huntsville, Alabama. Not only was it a chance for a full-time job but also a chance to move back to where I grew up. I love this town and have missed the hills, the green everywhere, and my parents. As I’m getting resettled here, I was finally able to find time to finish the patterns I’d been working on … and I hope you enjoy them.

My favorite pattern in this issue is the Spiked Ripple Purse, modified from the Grandma Spiked My Ripple Blanket in the previous issue, but I’m also quite fond of the three baby hats included. The filet crochet bonnet includes six filet charts from which to choose plus blank charts that can be used to make your own designs.

Also included are patterns for a cup cozy and two versions of a mug cozy. They can be made in about an hour with cotton yarn and make excellent gifts for just about anybody.

I apologize in advance for the hat photos but my little model has been ill and in no mood to have her picture taken. Hopefully, the main images will be updated soon.

Don’t forget that if you’d like your pattern included in future issues, just take a look at the FAQs to find out how to submit your pattern.

Thank you for your continued support and patience!
