Drops Kid-Silk is a lace weight yarn with a hazy cloud of wispy strands that give it a soft, luxurious feel. Like all yarns of this kind, it is not easy to frog due to the strands but it can be done if you work slowly and carefully. Although the yarn is thin, it doesn’t break easily which is always good for lace weight yarn. For the example below, I used an H/8 hook to give a more open lacy look and it was easy to work with and the yarn is distinctive enough that it was easy to see the strands as I was working. An excellent yarn for light scarves and capelets.
Kid-Silk is available in 14 colors, mostly pastel, but also with a gray and a black available. Keep an eye out in a future issue for a pattern featuring this yarn.
