Enchanted AdornmentsI was surprised to receive this book since it deals with beading and jewelry and not with crochet, but then I realized the possibilities with making stitch markers and other “jewelry” for my crochet and knitting.

The book is presented as an artist’s journal as she is commissioned to create pieces of jewelry. She is taken to visit each individual and learn about them so that each piece is suited to them. The stories and designs are illustrated with watercolors with tips and quotes interspersed throughout.

At the beginning of the book, you’ll learn different techniques for working with polymer clay, wire, resin, and more. As the artist meets each individual, you are presented with the story of what happens and how she drew her inspiration from each one.

You can recreate each piece or take inspiration from them to create stitch markers, and other items to help or adorn your work.
