Getting Ready for Spring

It’s starting to warm up a bit here in northern Utah, with more birds and a few insects venturing out. My dog is enjoying rolling in any mud he can find and my cat is in the throes of Spring Fever.

This issue is a few months late and I apologize for that, but I had some things come up that needed to be taken care of and then I came down with strep throat. After that, some personal issues came up that began to overwhelm me but I’ve put on my big girl bloomers and am heading back into the fray. If you sent e-mails recently, I’ll be going through my accounts and answering them as soon as I can.

Along with a few scarf patterns, this issue includes a small purse and a bath mitt and washcloth. There are quite a few yarn reviews and two book reviews, one on Jelly Yarn which is a fun nylon yarn for kids.

We also have a special contest in this issue, sponsored by Yarn Julep, with yarn, an Etimo hook, and more as the prize. Make sure you stop by Miss Julep’s etsy shop to check out everything she has available!

I’ll be combining the kid’s issue that was supposed to be our Spring issue with the Summer Wedding issue, so be sure to submit your patterns so we can make the Summer issue a big success.

I’ll have reviews next issue on some sweet color changing yarn and some DVDs from Interweave Publishing, one with Kristin Omdahl showing how to crochet and join motifs.

Keep on Hooking!
